Walk through with fresh eyes

Review your home room by room. Make a list of visible maintenance needs, cluttered surfaces, dim lighting, and areas that could benefit from cleaning. Ask your listing team which items deserve attention before spending on improvements.

Make the home easy to understand

Clear walkways and simplify furniture arrangements so each room has an obvious purpose. Organize closets without making them look empty. Put away personal documents and valuables before photography and showings.

Prepare the information, too

Gather the documents you already have about repairs, improvements, warranties, and any association requirements. Ask your agent which disclosures and property details are needed for your specific sale.

Set a realistic launch date
